Atlanta (CNN) - Fool me once, said Georgians.
Apparently well-prepared this time, they appeared to be handling an ice storm forecasters had billed as "catastrophic" - in stark contrast to a winter storm last month - but the worst may be coming Wednesday evening.
After icing parts of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama, the storm arrived Wednesday morning in Georgia, and while precipitation decreased early Wednesday afternoon, it's expected to pick up again later, bringing more ice and snow to metro Atlanta. The ice will taper off later Wednesday, but snow is expected to continue into the night, according to CNN meteorologists.
